Equity Interviews

Climate change can feel abstract and hypothetical as a topic, but its impact affects the critical issues facing the community - housing, transportation, health, livability and more. The equity interviews project is the opening of a two-way dialogue that links cause to effect and elevates the quality of life concerns facing those with the fewest resources to adapt. This project will include 35-50 interviews on each side of Teton Pass, with additional focus groups and longitudinal follow up. The interviews will be direct outreach to marginalized communities, purposefully designed to work outside the ‘choir’ and instead focus on the full spectrum of people who are not already in the conversation.

Status

  • Needs a Lead

  • Needs Funding

  • Needs Supporters

LegacyWorks and Sunrise JH have begun discussing the logistics of this project, but it is in its infancy.

Expected Impacts: The purpose of this project is to center equity through TCAP and to support climate change resilience in marginalized communities. The desired impact of the interviews is to elevate the climate actions most important to historically marginalized communities, while also serving as an invitation for those communities to be included in the TCAP collaborative as a forum for equitable action.
